I am so excited to share this post today! If you remember a few blog posts back, you’ll recall that I was invited to visit the Williams Sonoma Union Square store just a couple of weekends ago! I took over their Instagram Account for the day, shared all of my favorite finds while in the store, and enjoyed a fun and festive day in the heart of San Francisco! It was such a wonderful day and I’m thrilled to be able to share a recap of the visit here today!
I grew up about 30-45 minutes away from San Francisco, but the city still feels like a magical travel destination… especially during the holidays! Union Square SF has a huge Christmas tree, ice skating, and is perfectly decorated for the holidays. It’s the perfect spot to visit, from near and far, around the most wonderful time of year. Williams Sonoma is right in the center of the square, overlooking all of the magic, and it’s the absolute perfect place to visit to get in a festive mood and shop for gifts! So when the Union Square store reached out to invite me to come visit for the day… it was an absolute ‘YES’!
If you’ve been reading this blog of mine for a while now, you’ll know how much I love all things Williams Sonoma! Well, being in the Union Square store amplified that even more! I not only loved seeing all the product I often browse online in the store, but I loved reminiscing about when my husband Sam and I registered in a different store for our wedding, I loved experiencing the magic of the Union Square experience, and I loved being able to explore around and cook in
my dream kitchen the in-store cooking school!
I’ll walk you through our time spent there in the photos below…
The store is 4 stories, so we decided to explore from top to bottom! The top has a large amount of the Williams Sonoma Home collection… so of course I was immediately drawn to all the textiles and ginger jars! It feels like a gorgeous styled home up there, so I wanted to capture every nook and cranny!
Next, we headed into the Cooking School! This is where the store hosts in-store events, cooking classes, and cook and bake up treats for guests to sample and enjoy. It’s the dreamiest cooking space! Sam and I helped make Peppermint Bark brownies and I wish this screen was scratch n’ sniff! The whole top floor of the store smelled heavenly! I still can’t get over how fun it was to cook and explore in that gorgeous space, and I’m already thinking about planning a date back into the city with Sam for us to take a cooking class together!
After baking, we decided we needed a little more than brownies for lunch! 😉 So we headed around the corner and went to Hogwash – Sammy’s choice! It was such a fun little day date in the and we scarfed down every bite! We also spotted a cable car or two on our way to and from. Wouldn’t be a trip to SF without a cable car sighting!
After lunch, we headed back to the store to do some shopping from the bottom floor up! There were so many beautiful Christmas tablescapes, bedding, more vignettes that felt like a immaculately decorated home (complete with more ginger jars – swoon!)…. and then of course all things you think of when you think Williams Sonoma (appliances, cookware, bakeware, dishes, etc.). As I was doing the Instagram Takeover, I had so much fun ‘shopping’ with everyone following along!
A Christmas tree made of their signature Peppermint Bark! Isn’t it amazing?!
Once we got back to the top floor, we mulled over/made shopping decisions! I ended up with a handful of treats including these ginger jar ornaments and this darling tortoise nut bowl – both of which are now sold out online! It was a great reminder that shopping in store has some serious perks!
And that’s a wrap! It truly was such a fun day for both Sam and I! I’m so honored that Williams Sonoma Union Square invited me into their beautiful store and it’s been a joy to share our festive visit with their followers and mine! A huge thank you to the WS Union Square staff for being so gracious and hospitable! Can’t wait to come back for a visit again, soon!
And if you’re staying in the Bay Area in the next few weeks… you MUST stop by and visit, too! Christmastime in the city is SO magical… it’s absolutely worth the trip!
