Happiest of starts to your week! We finally had what felt like a ‘normal’ and mellow weekend around here these past few days and it felt glorious. Sam and I are truly homebodies deep down, so our favorite plans always include downtime relaxing at home…
I did one of these ‘weekend recaps’ a while back where I just shared some snapshots of some pretty low-key weekend plans we had going on and it seemed to be a hit so I thought I’d bring it back today!
These hydrangea blooms were actually a gift from my husband for our wedding anniversary earlier in the week and I love how they stayed looking fresh and beautiful through the weekend (and actually still today!). I love hydrangea blooms for many reasons, but I certainly love how long they last! I’ve got tricks up my sleeve on how to make them staying fresh… would anyone like a blog post on this? 😉
Look who is outgrowing his favorite bowl!
“Look, Mom! I still fit!”
Out kitchen is a pretty funky layout and not extremely spacious… so every little nook counts. I was getting weirdly annoyed at staring at the labels of our olive oil and balsamic that sit out on the crowded counter, so I found these pretty bottles and they feel like an instant glamorous upgrade! I kept staring at them all weekend long! Only I would get so excited about something as small as oil dispensers, but hey. How cute are they?! (They’re currently sold out online 🙁 but check your local store!)
My husband Sam is just as crazy as I am about Dallas Walker, and certainly considers him his son. So naturally, Dad wanted to be the one to teach Dallas how to swim! We decided to actually get a kiddie pool the week before we picked Dallas up in fear that they’d sell out towards the end of summer, so we’ve had it sitting in our garage until now. This weekend we finally filled it up and encouraged Dallas to take a dip! His reaction? Well, I’ll let you be the judge from the photos…………..
“Mama, can we cuddle instead??”
I placed my second Beautycounter order at the beginning of the week and had been watching the tracking info like an obsessive hawk with every passing day. I was truly like a kid waiting for Santa in anticipation for the mail delivery on Saturday and once it finally came, I was SO EXCITED!
I’ve already begun putting everything to the test and I simply can’t wait to share my thoughts with y’all in in-depth reviews! I asked this to Instagram Stories on Sunday afternoon, but wanted to also ask here. How is best to review products for y’all? Do you like the in-depth blog posts about them? Would you like to see video footage as well? The feedback on Sunday was that the blog posts are still great, but to also show what I’m doing in an Instagram Story as well. I’d love to know your feedback/preferences! Please let me know by leaving me a comment or emailing me directly at email@example.com!
Until I get my review up and live, I wanted to give y’all a little list of what I ordered! Spoiler alert: I’m already obsessed with everything, even the things I didn’t anticipate loving! Here’s what I ordered:
Baby Daily Protective Balm (for my dry patches & eczema)
Also… can we just take a minute to appreciate the pretty packaging?! And that’s not even the pretty packaging of the actual product! Goodness sakes… I’m truly obsessed!
*The face you make when your Beautycounter order arrives*………….
Other than that, we went to church early on Sunday morning, made some yummy home cooked meals, I painted my nails, we had my brother and his family over…. and we just enjoyed and relaxed with Dallas!
Such a needed weekend after a good but emotional previous weekend and then busy week. How was y’alls weekends? Do anything fun?!
Wishing y’all a good week! And don’t forget to give me your feedback for the Beautycounter reviews!
