I’ve been a fan of essential oils for a few years now after first attending a party long ago. I really do believe in the benefits of them and I highly recommend connecting with someone who considers themselves to be well-versed, especially in the ‘oils for healthcare’ area. I’m not totally your girl for that, but I can encourage you to at least dive into diffusing oils!
I adore using oils in my diffuser… it makes our home feel so fresh and like a spa! I’m obsessed with the aesthetic of this diffuser – so many on the market aren’t nearly this cute! I’ve also been drawn lately to this oil brand that I’ve seen on Goop and Nordstrom. I’m a sucker for good minimalist branding, so I can’t stop thinking about how pretty these little oils would look sitting out next to that diffuser! If you’re not into diffusing just yet, you could start dabbling in the oil world with this pretty spray that would be wonderful for your body and linens before bed every night!
Dreaming of Spring and Summer Style
I quite literally lived in a down parka while in Dallas/Fort Worth as it’s been SO cold there lately! I came home to ‘warmer’ weather here in the Bay Area, but you know this girl isn’t fully warm and happy unless it’s at least 75 degrees out! I’ll keep sticking winter out while wishing it was warmer by starting to peruse spring and summer finds while still mixing them into my winter wardrobe. These earrings just went on super sale and after eying them over the holidays…. I HAD to snag them! I love how they’ll go with anything year round! I’m also already dreaming about a pair of Soludos…. I can pull them off now, right? #plzsayyes. Also, I’m forever living in a kimono style sweater and I’ll never say no to a good scarf (that’s on sale, too!).
Skin Care is SO important year round… but I honestly can’t emphasize it enough this time of year when it’s so cold and dry out! Though they’re crucial to anti-aging and the health of your skin, Skincare Regimens can be overwhelming as there are SO many products out there. Where to start?! Well, Beautycounter is currently featuring their 3 different skin care regimens for a bundled sale price! There’s the Nourishing Regimen, the Countermatch Regimen, and the Rejuvenating Regimen. I currently use products from the Nourishing and Rejuvinating lines, but am dying to try the Countermatch line as well. I’ve heard AMAZING feedback on each product line and you can’t beat diving into safer skincare with a bundle deal like that!
If you’re unsure which line may be best for you, I’d love to help! Just email, DM, comment to me! 🙂
Fresh Home Decor & Accessories
As you saw in this post, I’m all about fresh home decor after the holiday season. My favorite fresh touches currently? I love jute rugs and firmly believe that World Market makes the best on the market (soft and a great price!). We’ve resisted purchasing rugs while Dallas is still a puppy, but I think we’re close to finally going for it as he’s older and wiser now! 😉 Rugs make a room so much more cozy and feel so put together… I’m really dying to get a few in multiple sizes and colors! And speaking of World Market, this Ginger Jar is new and I LOVE it. I know I need another ginger jar like I need a hole in my head, but that style and size is hard to find for that low of a price point. So basically I need it, right? Right.
I’ve also recently had a strange obsession with ‘weathered’ terra cotta pots… just go with me on it. I’ve been on the hunt for a specific style, size, and price but was coming up empty-handed. I even considered DIY-ing what I had in mind but wasn’t totally sure they’d turn out how I wanted. Well, on my Target run yesterday I found EXACTLY what I was looking for! Target blessings. They’re from the Smith & Hawken line which I always have heart eyes for! The ‘weathered’ texture is so realistic without looking too dirty. I got the large terra-cotta pot and the mini white pot and plan on filling them with a potted hydrangea and some greenery. I’m tempted to order more (my Target only had those 2!) and put some herbs in them outside and therefore justifying me purchasing these darling herb markers. Am I becoming a plant lady?
Oh! And this soap. It’s so pretty, smells divine, and is always seen photographed in the most chic of spaces. I also spied it in ‘Home Again’ – you know, that movie I’m obsessed with not for the plot but for the home decor. VERY normal.
All these goodies I’m loving or day dreaming of are helping me fight off the winter blues! Anything on your ‘January List’ that’s helping you do the same?
