It’s no secret I love sprinkles. It’s also no secret I love popcorn. Both in rather excessive quantities. So… why not combine the two?
You may have seen sprinkle popcorn making an appearance across Pinterest (if you don’t follow me there, here’s my shameless plug) lately. The moment I saw the pinspiration, I knew I needed to re-create it. If you read Monday’s post, you saw my tips on how to get started on throwing a party, as well as the beginning stage details with my upcoming co-hosted ‘Cocktails & Cupcakes’ soirée. Ready for more? Here’s an easy, budget friendly, and delish party favor that you can throw together in a flash.
What you need:
What to do:
- Pop that popcorn! If you’re going the fresh route (aka no artificial butter – no judgement if you are, I’m no stranger to Sir Orville Redenbacher and his Movie Theatre Butter), make sure to add some melted butter and salt post-popping.
- Melt either the candy melts or white chocolate chips and then drizzle it on the popcorn on either a bakers sheet or in a mixing bowl.
- Quickly (before the chocolate hardens) sprinkle a generous amount of sprinkles and mix. Let cool.
- Fill the gift bags, make make a little name tag, tie it together with ribbon and voilà!
So easy. So yummy. A perfect little treat for those who may have a savory tooth post-party. And ultimately, a fun way to say ‘thanks for coming’ without a ton of time or money! I also love the touch of a personal name tag – and these ones from Knot & Bow are cute enough for guests to possibly re-use in one way or another. You never know when you’ll need a little pop of pink on your fridge, bulletin board, or keeping your place in your current read.
Keep checking back here in the next week to see what other details make ‘Cocktails & Cupcakes’ a success!
Until then, happy snacking!
