Hi y’all! It feels like it’s been a while since we’ve ‘caught up’, so let’s do that real quick (after I talk you through this outfit, of course 😉 )
I’ll just apologize for it now: I’ll be outfit repeating this look now until it actually gets cold in the Bay Area (maybe November? Who knows.). It’s the perfect transitional fall outfit! It’s no secret I love a good blue and white basic and this tunic just sums up all of my love for a classic blue and white combo but with a modern tunic style. I love how it’s longer, looser, and yet can go with anything. Dress this baby up or down! Day or night! Such a good basic that any woman of any age and size can totally pull off! Ladies, you need this tunic!
As for my accessories, I love me a good wool hat. Especially this wool fedora trend happening this fall! However, it’s nearly impossible for me to find one that fits my ginormous head! I scored this one in person at TJMaxx a few weeks ago and not only loved its simple style but loved that it actually fit. Needless to say it went home with me, no questions asked (except for when Sam asked me if this was a new hat when I packed it for Tahoe, oops). I so wish I could link this exact one, but you’ll see above how I linked a handful of similar options! Since I guarantee y’all don’t struggle with my abnormally big head syndrome, I’m sure those will all look fabulous on you! And then the booties. These booties are oldies but goodies from a few years ago… yet still in style! Don’t you love that? If you don’t have a good bootie for fall yet… browse the handful I’ve linked! I guarantee you will be wearing them non-stop!
And for a little catch up sesh…
Ya know….It’s kinda been a rough few weeks. As I shared here, I was out of commission for a whole lot longer than I anticipated. I made the best of it, but I think it kinda got the best of me at times, too. I lost some motivation and drive from the feeling of helplessness as my laptop and my businesses are hand in hand. Then right after I got my computer back, I was dealing with some personal health things and heading to the doctor for follow ups. I’m healthy and totally okay, I promise. But just was an added stressor. And then poor Dallas pup had a trip to emergency and though all turned out okay in the end… I was a wreck while it was happening. And this past Friday marked the two-year anniversary of my brother-in-law’s passing from cancer. So needless to say, I’ve been a little stressed. And tired. And kinda just… off. But as we were in Tahoe this past weekend, we were able to soak in the beauty, take deep breaths, enjoy that cool weather that made it truly feel like fall, eat my mom’s delicious home cooked food, take Dallas on his first walks… and just decompress. So needed.
Normally after a weekend away, I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. And though I’ve yet to unpack and do the laundry currently sitting on the floor of my office… I’m forcing myself to be a bit more motivated to start tackling it all and approaching blogging, Beautycounter, and all my other entrepreneurial endeavors with some fire under my behind. And it feels so good!
So here’s to a good start to all of our weeks – whatever we are coming off of from the week and weekend before. So let’s drink our coffee and cross off our to-do’s…. and then reward ourselves with that new tunic or another fall accessory that makes our lives feel a little more glam and put together! 😉
Thanks for catching up today!
