Happy Monday! No wait, Tuesday. Errr… Wednesday. Say it ain’t so. Well hello to you, whatever day it is. I’m back from an unplanned blogging break!
The past week has flown by: family activities, Mother’s Day, work load on overload, and prepping for a vacation next week. Phew. Don’t get me wrong, all of these things going on have been wonderful things! But, I’m behind. On my business & blog and life. I’m running off one very large cup of coffee this morning, I’m cramming in this post as a baby naps, and I really think I need to squeeze in a pit stop through the drive thu for a Diet Coke (been craving it for weeks – Snapchat knows) in between my afternoon hustle so I can make it through today. So bear with me as this is a short but sweet post! I promise to get caught up here soon!
I only could snap a few pics before our mama’s came over for a Mother’s Day brunch this Sunday! I do love the way the table turned out, even though I really wanted pink peonies for the occasion instead of carnations. To be honest, carnations are my least favorite flower. But these large hot pink ones found at the farmer’s market that weekend were speaking to me in leu of no peonies to be found. I don’t even think the photos do it justice – these babies are nearly neon! And I love it. And another bonus? Carnations last forever. I think they will keep our table cheery until we head out of town a week from today! So cheers to you, carnations. You’re proving me wrong this week!
Once my flower situation was set, it was easy to start grabbing blue & white ginger jars from around my house and get to arranging! I’m not kidding when I say ginger jars are all over my house. Nearly everywhere you turn. #obsessed. But it sure makes for an easy and cohesive entertaining set up! I have found the majority of mine at Home Goods, but I rounded up a handful of reasonably priced options below.
Final tip from brunch? I placed my favorite nail polish on each mama’s place setting for an extra little gift with the meal. Just a little something that (hopefully) reminds them of their celebratory day in the future.
And that’s that! You know that baby napping? She’s up! So until next post (it will be soon, I promise!), go ahead and go ginger jar crazy with the slider below! Nanny duty calls!
