This past weekend, we were out-of-town down to the Central Coast of California for a wedding for a dear college friend. The Central Coast is my favorite part of California, and I loved being back after my college years. Staying back in San Luis Obispo was fun but a whirlwind, as most wedding weekends usually are, and I barely snapped a photo! But on the way home, we decided to make a stop on our way back north… and I’m SO glad we did!
HammerSky Vineyards has been on my bucket list of properties to see, without even knowing it! When I first made a Pinterest account years ago, one of my first pins was of a beautiful white barn in the country and I tucked it under the ‘Dream Home’ board. Well, flash forward to recently when I realized that the same white barn I had heart eyes for was not only a property in California, but a winery I could taste at! I love beautiful properties and enjoy wine tasting, my husband Sam loves wine tasting and enjoys beautiful properties. SO, we HAD to visit!
Oh my goodness. It’s truly my DREAM property! Tucked away off the beaten path (its about 15ish minutes off the 101 in Paso Robles, CA) , it’s private and quaint and makes you feel like you’re hundreds of miles away from city living. The farmhouse is perfectly traditional down to its red door, porch swings, and an American Flag flying proudly outside. Right across from the house is THE dream barn with seating directly outside it overlooking the vineyards and twinkle lights strung above. It’s idyllic for a small wedding or private party. Up the hill is the tasting room where we sipped some of the yummiest reds I’ve ever tasted! My palette isn’t nearly as developed as my husband’s, but we both we pretty blown away by their wines, especially the 2014 Straight de Barrel.
Between the stunning property, fall colors of the vines, the amazing wine, and having Dallas join us… it was truly my most favorite wine tasting experiences to date! Looking through the photos I took have been so fun to re-live the experience, and I hope they make you feel like you were (almost) there with us, too!
Just. Can’t. Get. Enough.
Feel free to scroll and stare and scroll again… I am! After our experience at HammerSky, Sam and I are talking more about exploring more of Paso Robles Wine Country, especially as we now live closer to it than before! Even though I went to college 30 minutes away, I don’t know the wine region well at all! So we hope to make a trip back soon!
If you’re planning a trip to Central California, put HamemrSky on your bucket list! And if you’re a bride looking for a small, intimate, and destination wedding venue… I don’t think you have to look any further! In fact, I’m already dreaming and scheming to have either a birthday party or vow renewal celebration on the property someday! I’m dying to stay in the farmhouse!
Wishing y’all a Happy Halloween today! Keep a lookout on Instagram to see what Dallas Walker is dressed up as! It’s pretty good, if I do say so myself 😉
