Happy Hump Day, y’all! It was misting, foggy, and cold in the city this morning, but I’m holding on just one more day before we head out of town for the long weekend. If I just close my eyes, I can hear the sound of the boats on the lake, taste the burgers and hot dogs, and feel the sun on my body! But if I’m forced to open my eyes… I may as well look at this fantastic collage (if I do say so myself, I want everything…) and get even more in the mood for the holiday weekend!
I love America. I love patriotic pride. I love summer. So it’s obvious that I absolutely love the Fourth of July! And with it just around the corner, today feels so right to share a few of my favorite things to help me (and you) celebrate!
Red, white & blue accessories: If you don’t have clothing with the American flag on it (shame on you! 😉 ), that certainly doesn’t mean you can’t be patriotic in your accessories! I can’t get enough of good statement earrings, phone cases, scarves, sunnies, and lipstick in general… so it’s a given that I share these American pride versions with you today. Note for the lipstick: my favorite classic red is MAC ‘Ruby Woo’. It’s a cool tone red that looks good on everyone!
A gorgeous but simple beach cover up, aviators, Jack Rogers, & a classic baseball cap: Pretty self-explanatory here, but in my opinion, low-key style is the best style. Floppy hats certainly are glamorous and fun in the sun, but not as practical if you’re out on a ski boat. They’ll flop right on into the water! So I stick to a messy bun or ponytail and throw my hair under a cap, yet still feel feminine with a beach coverup and Jacks.
A fun towel, floaty, & tumbler: The fun pool float sensation is bigger and better than ever and I’m 150% on board. I own a donut version (are you surprised?) but I quite literally dream of owning everything from the watermelon I featured here, to the swan, to the flamingo, to the pineapple… Yes. They all exist. And I’ll take them all, please! And don’t forget to hydrate! And you wouldn’t forget if your vessel was as adorable as that pineapple one, am I right?
Beach accessories: I used to be a huge fan of the original Squeeze Breeze. If you’re not familiar, I’m sad for you. It was THE thing at swim meets in the 90’s. But alas, this ice cream cone version is pretty darn cute so you can be happy again. Also… gotta love games and an umbrella for reading a beach read in the shade!
BBQ fun: I dream of a backyard big enough to host huge summer parties someday. We’re talking full outdoor kitchen, couches, movie screen…. I said it was a dream, ok? Why not go big! But until that day comes (or doesn’t, I’ll be ok)… I love this mini portable grill option. Navy and white and made for me!
Ok y’all, feeling more inspired and ready to celebrate our country?! I know I am! The number links under the collage are shop-able as well as the slider below!
