Happy Monday, sweet readers! This post has me all kinds of giddy, which is helpful on a Monday, right?! We shot this just yesterday during a trip up to Napa for a little afternoon date of wine tasting (yay for checking off those fall bucket list items!) and I had so much fun styling this little fun frock 3 different ways to show y’all that bold prints CAN be versatile!
I have to make a super disappointing disclaimer before moving forward: sadly, this exact dress has sold out online ? HOWEVER, I just recently purchased it in store so I’m crossing my little fingers and toes that y’all can snag it at your local H&M! And if my good shopping vibes don’t serve you well, you can take comfort in knowing that they have a handful of darling print dresses still available. I love this, this, and this for similar floral dress options!
Ok, now that we had to get that sad truth out, I still wanted to show y’all how a bold printed dress like this one can be worn so many ways! I’m a print lady at heart – always have been. Many a’ times I’ve attempted to simply fill my wardrobe with classic staples but let’s keep it real, it’s mostly prints. One may think that is tough to work with in terms of mixing and matching, but that’s where my other big heart for accessorizing plays in oh so perfectly! Accessories make or break an outfit! And they can completely transform it! So, let’s walk through my 3 very different looks!
Outfit #1: Simple, Casual, Summer to Fall
This look was what I actually wore to wine tasting for our date! It was around 90 degrees out which felt amazing (I love the heat) but I wanted to keep it simple in terms of accessories. Heads up: this pink stone necklace that I love and wear all the time (as seen here) is still on sale! I love that a fall-ish print and a pop of pink can be worn in full summer weather but still compliment the current autumn season!
Outfit #2: Country girl at heart
If y’all didn’t know, I am 100% a country girl at heart. I grew up riding horses, listening to country music, and one of my favorite happy places is my grandparents’ ranch & vineyard where I’ve spent hours walking around through the vineyards, talking to the cows, and dreaming of living on a large piece of land myself someday! So naturally, I feel most comfortable in a good pair of cowboy boots! I love how boots and aviators suddenly made this dress feel relaxed, easy, and perfect for a day trip to a ranch, to a country concert, or really…. any other time you just want to channel your inner country-loving heart!
Outfit #3: city girl chic
Hat ( c/o from this post, similar here, here & here) | Sunnies (amazing Celine dupe for only $12! Again, sold out online ?, but I purchased at my local store!) | Kendra Scott Necklace c/o | Bag (TJ Maxx find, but similar here & here) | Booties (Old, similar here)
Okay, I must admit… I’m totally laughing at myself for calling this ‘city girl chic’ because let’s face it y’all… I am in no way a city girl! Haha! I just told y’all the country is where my heart lies, BUT I do currently live in a city, and only 20 minutes away from San Francisco. So, city chic has its moments in my wardrobe. I actually wore this exact outfit style into the city a couple of weeks ago for a work event and I received so many sweet compliments on it! Thank you, women of SF! I loved how it felt so fun and sassy for a night out and if I wasn’t such an old soul at heart, this outfit would have been perfect for heading out for drinks after my event! I also love a good wool hat for fall through winter! So fun and hides dirty hair beautifully! Always a win in my book.
So there you have it! One dress, three very different looks. I hope this was fun and helpful! If so, let me know!
Hope y’all had a beautiful weekend are having a wonderful start to your weeks!
