Welcome! I’ve been eager to show y’all more photos of our new home since we moved this past summer! It’s been a fun little space to nest in and I’ve loved changing up my decor a bit from our apartment before…
I was blessed by the talented miss Natalie McMullin right after we moved and got Dallas and she photographed our entire home! That full home tour is coming soon, but until then… I just had to share these sneak peeks, especially as it’s all decorated for fall!
The walls in our new living room are a cool grey-toned light blue (the previous renters painted them), which absolutely works for all my blue and white! However, it’s a bit more tricky when adding in little pops of color here and there. You know this girl can’t resist her pink, but I also like to keep things clean and classic. So I decided that a touch of blush with an accent pillow and a few faux florals was just what everything needed!
Speaking of faux florals, let’s talk about them for a sec. I know they often get a bad rap in the decorating world, especially if they don’t look very real. But Joanna Gaines decorates with them and sells them at Magnolia. So if Joanna says go faux, I say go faux. I’ll always love having fresh hydrangeas on my coffee table, but those are a bit more manageable and financially reasonable than continuing to have a big arrangement once a week! I picked my faux floral arrangement makings up at Michael’s for 60% off recently and haven’t looked back since. I love how the colors tie things together!
Come on in!
The next series of photos deserve their own narrative. These were the last photos I took while shooting our space and Dallas had finally had enough of watching me fluff pillows and straightening book ends. He hopped right on up on the couch without being asked. He needed to be involved, obviously!
“Mama, get me on the couch. Feature me on the blog.”
“Should I tilt my head back? How does that look? What about my arm?”
“Wait. Got it. Nailed it.”
And that’s a little peek into our home! I promise there is more to come, but this is the area we spend the most time in right now and it’s the only part that is technically decorated for fall! And though I can’t link everything, I did my best with the slider below! And if you have any questions on a particular item, don’t hesitate to ask! It’s my joy to be able to scout out home decor pieces for y’all! 🙂
Wishing y’all a happy and safe fall weekend ahead! Thanks for stopping by here today!
