Hello November, Hello Monday! We had such a lovely, relaxing weekend which was so wonderful and so needed. On Saturday, we didn’t leave the house until we went out to dinner with my parents for an early birthday dinner celebration for my hubs where I wore this outfit. Then on Sunday morning, I had no shame in outfit repeating it again for church! Needless to say, I’m in love with this cozy off the shoulder sweater situation.
You’ll probably recall that I was quite taken with the off the shoulder trend this past spring and summer and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t sad to see all my little OTS dresses pushed to the back of the closet recently. But have no fear… the trend is still in full effect for fall and winter and I couldn’t be more happy about it!
I love how cozy this sweater feels as it is so loose and relaxed, yet it still feels fun and feminine with showing off a little shoulder. I also love how you can modify it! Keep it below the collar-bone for a fun dinner out OR bring it higher to the neckline and rock it cowl neck style if you’re feeling chilly and/or don’t want to show quite as much skin (like at church!).
You’ll also notice my new favorite leopard booties making their debut here on the blog! I shared them over on Instagram last week, saying that I haven’t taken them off since I picked them as my souvenir in Texas a few weeks ago. Well y’all… I’m really not joking. They haven’t been off my feet since I made them mine! They’re so comfortable, go with everything (leopard is a neutral in my book), and I can’t really imagine what life was like without them?! So here’s your fair warning: you’ll be seeing them more than once here and on Insta 😉
You just have to love a sweater that can carry you through a Saturday night out and a Sunday service the following morning, right?! Versatile pieces are my favorite pieces… especially when they’re this cozy! And anything that pairs well with Mexican food and worshiping our Lord within the same 24 hour span is simply a win-win in my book.
Here’s to a great Monday, y’all! Thanks for stopping by and reading today 🙂
