It’s here! The reveal of Cocktails & Cupcakes! As you saw last week, my co-host and I worked extra hard on our Valentine’s party which just so happened to simultaneously occur at the same time as that big football game everyone pretends to watch but really just talks, watches the commercials and half time show, and binge-eats queso. As the men in our lives all went to do as previously listed, us Community Group ladies sipped gin & champagne, savored devil’s food & funfetti and talked about our feelings. It was perfect.
I’m thrilled to be able to share shots today of how it all came together AND announce that mysterious co-host of mine. Scroll down to find out more about her…
I know, I know. You’re thinking… the cupcakes, heart confetti, balloons, party favors, and flowers turned out nice but who is that gorgeous brunette and WHERE CAN I FIND THOSE BRASS PIECES?? Well, let me tell you.
That beautiful, passionate, talented, hard-working, loving, sacrificial, devoted, strong woman of God holding those stunning brass shapes is my sister (if you need more context behind our relationship, read here). I couldn’t be more proud of her. For the way she loved, cared, and fulfilled her vows beyond measure to my brother until the day he went to Heaven. For the way she loves and fights for me as a sister and friend. For the way she cares for my husband more than I could have ever hoped for in a sister-in-law. The way she takes on whatever is in front of her with great gusto for the ultimate purpose of glorifying her Savior – through grief, relationships, party-planning and beyond.
Today is where I get to share a bit more of that “beyond”. In February of last year, my sweet sister began making brass himmeli sculptures as a way to use her hands and keep them busy through her husband’s intensive chemotherapy. Those DIY brass objects soon turned into coveted pieces for her friends and family and beyond and so her Etsy shop, CampbellMade, was created. CampbellMade was a creative entrepreneurial vision that both Katie and Tim so passionately shared. A space that allowed them to dream, innovate, and collaborate. It was incredible to have the honor of watching such endeavors blossom. But as Tim’s cancer intensified, Katie made the difficult decision to step away from the shop for the time being in order to devote everything to her husband’s needs.
As we continue to deeply grieve that Tim is no longer here on this earth collaborating with Katie on CampbellMade, we have faith and known trust that he is so gosh darn proud of his wife with CampbellMade, especially today.
CampbellMade is back. In full force, with that gusto I’m telling you about. Today my co-host and sister re-launches her Etsy shop to the public! Tears stream down my cheeks as I type. So proud. Timo’s so proud.
So click as quick as you can to go check out the shop! Click to and follow the CampbellMade Instagram account to get to know Katie and her heart behind the product even more. SHARE this post on social media to bring some Valentine’s party inspiration to your followers, friends and family and show off my sister’s gorgeous sculptures.
