Today is a fun blog day! I mean, I personally think every day I blog is a fun day… but maybe I’m biased? 😉 But today I get to share MORE fun bloggers in my new little circle of ladies I love, explain a bit more about what we do and why we do it, AND… there’s a fabulous giveaway involved!
When I became a Beautycounter consultant (you can read more about that decision/announcing it in this post), I knew I would be on a team with a few other gals who blogged as well…but I had no idea that those ladies would become instant dear friends and that I would be entering into the most supportive and wonderful little community of women! Mary Scott, Lisa, Rachel, Lauren, Catheryn, Terah, and Claire have all become like long-lost sisters of my new safer skincare sorority and you can best believe I mean that in the absolute best way possible. In these past few months, I’ve loved getting to know these women both personally and professionally and I’m so excited to share them with y’all here today!
We’ve decided to team up, give a little 411 (is this still a phrase? please advise.) behind our passion for all things Beautycounter, introduce our readers to one another, and give one lucky reader a Beautycounter Spa Set of their choosing! Let me first answer a few fun interview questions (you can click on their blogs linked above and hear their answers!) and then get you to that giveaway entry below!
1. Introduce yourself! (Who you are, where you live, a little about yourself and your blog)
I’m Amy Beth Campbell, but that’s probably self-explanatory as you’re on a website that is my name. Yes, Amy Beth is my first name and I never go by just Amy! Double names are a ‘thing’ in the South and I’m certain my name is just one of the many reasons why I’m a misplaced Southern girl at heart. Though my husband and I long to someday raise babies in the South, we currently live in Menlo Park, California. My blog is a personal snapshot into our lives here, with everything from our faith, our home, my style, all things blue & white, my passion for Beautycounter, AND raising our new Golden Retriever puppy, Dallas Walker. I like to try to keep things pretty darn ‘real’ around here, and share with passion what’s on my heart – whether that be about Jesus or Beautycounter or anything in between!
2. How did you first learn about Beautycounter?
I’m a beauty product junkie. Always have been, always will be! Seeing as how all things beauty is a strong passion of mine, I like to keep up with the latest and greatest! I saw that Beautycounter products had been winning awards in Allure Magazine, beauty bloggers I followed and admired were beginning to talk about how wonderful the products were, and I was seeing this new company with gorgeous blue, white, and gold packaging making serious momentum in the beauty world. It was after all that I realized the actual mission of safer beauty behind Beautycounter! Once I understood the true heart of the brand, I was hooked!
3. Why did you join as a consultant?
Once Beautycounter caught my eye, I couldn’t stop researching all the scary facts about the beauty industry as we know it. I was devastated to hear about the chemicals we put on our bodies day in and out and how they were effecting such huge parts of our lives. I knew that not only did I personally need to make a change, but others needed to as well. I wanted to share this mission, but also share that switching to safer didn’t mean compromising a love for high performing and beautiful products. I wanted to share that you can absolutely switch to safer, and still look (and feel) fabulous while doing so!
To be honest, signing up for a direct sales company was downright terrifying to me. Truly, the last thing I ever thought I’d do. But this brand spoke to me. I’m truly obsessed! And I only blog about things I’m obsessed with! So similar to how I make commission in sharing things I love on here, Beautycounter is no different. It pairs perfectly with my blogging business, while remaining true to myself and my passions!
4. What is your favorite thing about being a Beautycounter consultant?
I absolutely love when readers share with me their Beautycounter ‘a-ha’ moment. Meaning, they follow along and read about my Beautycounter journey and maybe don’t care all that much. AND THEN…. it clicks. They realize that the products that they thought were ‘good’ or ‘high end’, products their dermatologists have recommended, products they never really thought about before… are actually filled with ingredients on Beautycounter’s Never List and the chemicals they’re putting on their skin every single day are harmful to their health! I love seeing the stages of passion my readers have shared in this process: the level of shock (how could companies do this?! how do we not regulate this?!), the level of disgust (I need to go through my bathroom and read ingredients and toss!), and the level of excitement (I’m SO excited to start using Beautycounter!!!). I love this process because I myself went through the exact same motions and I feel like it’s a true bonding moment I have with my readers. Hearing about their experience in switching to safer fires me up every single time!
5. What is your current daily skincare routine?
How much time do we have? Haha! Those who read my blog regularly know that the answer to this question is a blog post in itself. And, it will likely be a post on here soon! So instead, let me break the rules and list my top 3 skincare products I use daily:
1. Nourishing Cream Cleanser (what was my life before this? I truly do not know, it’s that good)
3. Lip Conditioner in Peppermint (if passionately loving a lip balm is wrong, I don’t want to be right. I’m obsessed)
6. Which is your #1 favorite Beautycounter product and why?
This question feels as hard as asking me what’s my favorite song. Seemingly impossible to answer! I’ve been honestly reviewing every product I’ve purchased on here for my readers to hear about, but I’ve yet to be disappointed by anything. So to choose just one?! Hmm…. let me share by category. (Apparently I’m really not good at following the rules of this questionnaire)
#1 skincare product: Nourishing Cream Cleanser . It was one of the first Beautycounter products I purchased back in the summer and yet I still get excited to use it every single night. The scent, the feel of it on my face, the way it makes my skin feel so clean without feeling stripped. It’s heavenly!
#1 makeup product: Color Pinch Cream Blusher. I’ve never been a cream blush gal and yet this stuff is gold inside a gold tube. So pigmented, blendable, and nothing like any product I’ve ever tested (and I’ve tested A LOT). The way it stands out to me above the rest means it’s a hands down favorite.
#1 body product: Citrus Mimosa Hand Cream. The scent of this is just incredible. It’s perfectly citrusy without being overpowering. I could purchase one for every purse, room in my home, and car… and I still don’t think it would be enough!
7. Which Beautycounter product is on your list to pick up next?
THIS. EYESHADOW. PALETTE. Are you kitten me right meow?! It just launched today and I’ve been dying inside keeping this a secret! Look at those colors! It’s truly the only shadow palette a girl will ever need. Amazing! And I can’t wait to get my hands on it!!! And while you’re at it… check out all the new Holiday product that all launched today! It’s what Christmas dreams are made of!
Okay, y’all… it’s giveaway time!!!
