Hi y’all! I hope you had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family! My week started out on quite the rocky side as we discovered we had a new roomie early Monday morning: a mouse.
I am absolutely terrified of rodents in any way, shape, or form so the unwanted creep set me into a grossed out spiral of panic from Monday through Wednesday. I cleaned/bleached every nook and cranny of our apartment for quite literally two days straight. I also put up all of our Christmas decor (minus the tree – that happens this weekend!) and made enough sweet potato casserole to feed an army. And amidst it all, I couldn’t sleep a wink because every little sound I heard made me fear that our unwanted house guest was having a party of one or worse, inviting his friends over in the middle of the night. After more traps were set (we still haven’t caught the scoundrel – gross), the car was packed, and we arrived at my parents for the weekend, I didn’t move a muscle come Thanksgiving morning while watching the Macy’s Parade and then passed out after they showed the Golden Retriever on the Purina Dog Show.
Though the week didn’t quite go as I had planned and I didn’t get intended blog posts published, I certainly felt immensely blessed! For so, so many reasons! But I particularly wanted to thank y’all again for coming out to the Kendra Scott event last weekend! As you can see from the photo above, the store is simply a dream and it was such a fun day! I can’t wait to keep y’all in the loop more with what’s happening in store with KS and hint hint I may have some fun news coming up next week, too! Stay tuned!
But for now… WE BLACK FRIDAY.
Here’s my disclaimer: y’all won’t find me anywhere near a store on Black Friday. This ex-retail manager lady has worked a good amount of Black Fridays in store and has many stories to tell about them. But since that season of my life, I’ve hung up my BF hat. If shopping in store is your thing, then Godspeed, sister! All the power to you! But for me personally, I’ve spent quite a bit of time in the thick of it all, so I choose to go a different route. Hello online shopping.
So. Many. Good. Online. Sales.
And you know what’s the best part? I can snag the items I’ve been eying for me and for others in a matter of a few clicks and minutes I can be on my merry way to do what really matters – spending time with family!
If you’re overwhelmed by the entire Black Friday phenomena, I don’t blame you a bit! It is overwhelming. Nearly every retailer has some kind of a deal this weekend so if there’s something you need/want… make sure to check their main pages to look for that promo code! Otherwise, let me give you a short list of the sales that I’m personally excited about and planning on snagging a gift or two from!
50% off y’all. Need I say more?! So many good deals on sweaters, cold weather accessories, and cute pajamas! I snagged these PJ pants because I just loved them!
As a loyal J.Crew fan, I’m pretty confident to say that I don’t think they’ve never done a 40% off sale for Black Friday! It’s the perfect time to stock up on a puffer vest, warm winter coat, or any other item you’ve been waiting to pull the trigger on! I highly recommend a good J.Crew coat and/or vest. They’ll last you season after cold weather season!
My obsession with Bauble Bar is real (as I’m sure you’ve noticed while reading my blog!). THIS necklace is the only thing on my Christmas list this year! Okay, so many I’m eying these earrings, too. With that good of a sale, maybe Santa will feel extra generous?!
Safe to say I’m in love? Yep. No brainer. 20% off. Go!
And soooooo many more. But like I said, whatever you are looking for… I’m sure there’s some kind of a deal for it this weekend! So take a quick peek at what’s out there, scan your Christmas list, and then go on and enjoy the rest of your weekend! We’re headed up to my grandparents ranch for some time away in the country and to also chop down our Christmas tree! Both are two of my favorite family traditions we do all year and I can’t wait!
Wishing y’all a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Happy shopping, turkey sandwich making, and relaxing!
